Reminders for this week....

Tuesday, March 17th - students bring in costume accessories from home in a small plastic bin or laundry basket. Please be sure everything, including the bin is labeled with your student's name.

Thursday, March 19th - firm deadline on pre-sale ticket orders. Link to the form is above. Regular tickets will go on sale March 26th.

Costume Fittings - We plan to call some of cast members after rehearsal on Thursday, March 19th to go over their costumes. (We will let you know which students on Tuesday.) There hasn't been enough time at rehearsals to complete all the fittings. If your student has been anxious about his/her costume, let us know. The costumes are fantastic!

Publicity Please help get the word out. We would like to sell out at all three shows!  Posters are going up around town to coincide with ticket sales. Sandwich boards are going up 1 week prior (per town permit rules). We have advertised at all Bedford Schools, The Bedford Citizen, The Minuteman and BedfordKids and BEST. There is a Facebook event page: JGMS Presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. We have flyers we can email you if helpful.  Thank you!

Crew, Sets and Props

A reminder that all stage crew teams will meet tomorrow (Tuesday, 3/10) after school. A small change from the original schedule: Stage crew members will be dismissed in time to take the late bus at 3:45 p.m. tomorrow.

Scenery painting and construction work session Tuesday night from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Crew members and 8th grade cast members are welcome to join their parents and help out.

Props search: We are looking for the following items. If you can help, email Mrs. B.
  1. Unbreakable beer stein style mugs with handles. Can be wooden, metal or plastic.
  2. Unbreakable pitchers (wooden, metal or plastic)
  3. Fake plastic food - anything you have.
  4. Outgrown black flat shoes or dancer's character shoes and jazz shoes.
  5. Outgrown boys black dress pants.
  6. A large ornate arm chair for the Beast's sitting room. It could look like a throne, or just a big upholstered wing-back chair that would be sturdy enough for the Beast to stomp on.
Thank you!

Pre-Sale Ticket Orders for Cast and Crew

Families of cast and crew have the opportunity to pre-order tickets before the general public. An email with the order form was sent tonight to all families. Cast members were given a printed form today, and crew members will receive a copy next week. March 19th is the firm deadline for pre-ordering tickets.

Up on deck this week:
Rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday for all cast members until 4:30 p.m. Some students (as available) may be called to run through songs on Wednesday after school.
Our costume team led by Lariza P. is busy!  We received a generous loan from the Holten Richmond Middle School in Danvers of beautiful and fun costumes for the "Be Our Guest" scene (which features almost everyone in the cast).  Photos below.
Lariza will be sending out information soon with a list of what students will need from home for their part in terms of clothing and shoes. (For example, black long-sleeve shirts and black yoga-type pants and/or tights for the girls who are playing the wolves.)  We'll post the lists here, email and send home hard copies with your students.  Any questions, please be in touch. Thanks!

Amazing handmade mask by an 8th grade student (who played the Beast in Danvers)
and his art teacher. We are lucky to borrow this special item.
