All students should eat dinner BEFORE coming to the show tonight!
(Please do NOT order and deliver pizza to JGMS.)

CALL TIMES FOR CREW
Crew members should arrive between 6:15-6:30 p.m. unless they have been told a different time by their managers or Mrs. Budka.

Please have your student bring his/her own mascara.  (Optional, though helpful, for boys).  In addition, please be sure your student brings in a towel to place over his/her costume during make-up application.  Mrs. Panagiotou has kindly washed shirts/costumes several times this week already!

Tuesday, April 7 - Dress Rehearsal

Tuesday will be a dress rehearsal without makeup. A few photographers will be on hand to take candids, and catch up with the few kids who were absent on Monday.

Dress rehearsal will start right after school and run until 6 (or possibly a few minutes after 6).

Snacks consisting of goldfish crackers, cookies, and water will be served right after school.  IF your student needs more, please send him/her with an additional snack or sandwich that will NOT stain the costumes.

Backstage Snacks:  If you are able to donate snacks, water and apple juice for backstage/intermission at the performances next week, please email Tina at JGMSmusical@gmail.com to get the specifics about what we need.

PublicityPlease spread the word about the show.  Here is the Facebook event page.

Tuesday, March 17th - students bring in costume accessories from home in a small plastic bin or laundry basket. Please be sure everything, including the bin is labeled with your student's name.

Thursday, March 19th - firm deadline on pre-sale ticket orders. Link to the form is above. Regular tickets will go on sale March 26th.

Costume Fittings - We plan to call some of cast members after rehearsal on Thursday, March 19th to go over their costumes. (We will let you know which students on Tuesday.) There hasn't been enough time at rehearsals to complete all the fittings. If your student has been anxious about his/her costume, let us know. The costumes are fantastic!

Up on deck this week:
Rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday for all cast members until 4:30 p.m. Some students (as available) may be called to run through songs on Wednesday after school.
Our costume team led by Lariza P. is busy!  We received a generous loan from the Holten Richmond Middle School in Danvers of beautiful and fun costumes for the "Be Our Guest" scene (which features almost everyone in the cast).  Photos below.
Lariza will be sending out information soon with a list of what students will need from home for their part in terms of clothing and shoes. (For example, black long-sleeve shirts and black yoga-type pants and/or tights for the girls who are playing the wolves.)  We'll post the lists here, email and send home hard copies with your students.  Any questions, please be in touch. Thanks!

Amazing handmade mask by an 8th grade student (who played the Beast in Danvers)
and his art teacher. We are lucky to borrow this special item.

Update and Costume Inventory

Doesn't it feel like it should be Friday already?  Somehow weeks with Monday holidays seem so long!

Beauty and the Beast rehearsals are going very well. Your kids are doing a great job. Are they telling you about the choreography and songs they have learned? Some of the cast members are going "off book" (without their scripts) for some of their scenes. The Directors say that this is great progress for January!

Thank you to the parents who helped with rehearsal snacks and shopping this week.  And, thank you to everyone who has made donations, signed up for a team and reached out to ask how you can help.

We now have coordinators for most all of the major tasks. If you signed up to be part of a team, you will hear directly from your coordinator when he/she is ready to start. The focus right now is getting Costumes, Set Design and Props in motion -- and of course, making sure that we have snacks ready to go at rehearsals. Next up will be Set Construction.

Hopefully everyone received an email this evening with a message from the Costume Coordinator. We are looking for some helpers next Thursday, 1/29, 6:30 p.m. until around 8 p.m. to do an inventory of costumes and accessories.  (You don't need to be part of the costume team to do this task.)

If you did not receive an email this evening, please email the Parent Coordinators or send a note in with your child to Mrs. B. so we can update your email information.
